Our hamster sister, Moosie, passed away last night. It took us all by surprise because she is not really old (a hamster's life expectancy is around 2 years and Moosie is around 1.5 years old). Moreover, she hasn't shown any symptoms (i.e. losing fur, loss of appetite, weight loss, etc) at all... so we are really puzzled.I leave you with some of our favourite photos of Moosie.
RIP, little one... you will be missed. Thank you for leaving yoyr tiny pawprints in our lives.

Sweet Moosie girl left her pawprints all over my heart, and all over GooberStan! My girl is crying, and Stella and I are sad to hear our Moosie has gone to the Bridge!

Sorry to hear about Moosie's passing. I guess it's the same like us doggies. Some of us die when we're 10 years old, while others die when they're 15 & some can even live up to 21 years even if we are the same breed & healthy. It all depends from dog to dog. So same for hamsters.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear Moosie passed away. I'm sure she's up playing with Girl Girl and FuFu at the Rainbow Bridge and having a blast.
We got your card yesterday and Mom had a little tear in her eye. Why does she do that so much? Mom was going to send you guys a card, too but ran out of time so she says she'll make up for it later with a surprise. Mom says she is hoping this is THE year, too. You don't think they have secrets from us do you?
Hope you have a nice Christmas and that Hershey's gift to everyone will be that she stops chewing on everything.

I'm so sorry to hear that Moosie passed to the bridge. I just got your Christmas card with her cute picture, so it's a shock. It's sad to lose someone over the holidays.
Angels Fufu and Girl Girl are teaching her how to fly with her new angel wings. Angel T-man will be there to help too.
I'm sure Angel Lucas was waiting to meet her. They will get to play together in heaven.
