The Maid brought me to a playground near where we live. It was a typical hot, humid and sunny day and the payground was deserted as most of the kids were at school. It's great cos I had the entire playground all to myself...

Yooohooo.. can you see me??

Did someone call my name??

Guess who we saw hidden under the bench...

*yawn*

And then she had to spoil the otherwise paw-fect day by giving me a bath.. WHY??!

I got tagged by Fei to do an entry on the 2-legged folks at home whom I call ‘Family’. After a futile attempt to ask my dad some questions (please see conversation below), I decided to depend on my mom instead and in exchange, I promised her not to dish out too much 'dirt'.

Huskee Boy (HB): Dad, do you have a minute? I need to have a father and son chat with you please…
Dad (D): Mmmmm…

HB: Hello Dad??! I said I want to have a father and son chat with you.. like NOW...
D: (grunts some inaudible reply)

HB: Daaad!!! I said I am growing another head and 3 more tails!!
D: Mmmmm…. (and more inaudible mumblings)

HB: Grrrr…..

* Note from HB to Mom – Now I really understand your frustrations…

So here's what I managed to find out from our mother and son talk: -

Dad is a senior software engineer working in the IT/ banking industry and he enjoys most PlayStation games especially the tennis and car racing ones, washing the HuskeeMOBILE, stepping on my tail/ paw, kicking me off the bed in the middle of the night, channel surfing when mom’s watching her favorite show (mom made me write this)…

Mom is a regional business manager who works in a travel management company that deals with corporate clients. In her spare time, she likes to go shopping, do some reading, more shopping, making costume jewellery, shopping and more shopping (dad made me write this)...

My Paw-rents when they were holidaying in Hong Kong last Dec

My paw-rents met sometime in Feb 1998 when they were both living in the same hostel in Melbourne when they were there for their studies (they were next door neighbors). They started dating not long after that and tied the knot last year on 29 Sep. Dad got me as a gift for mom on 21Oct 1999 and at that time, she was terrified of anything furry and four-legged (yah, she didn’t know what she was missing then!!)

The Maid, which is my other favorite hooman, is actually mom’s younger sister, but I call her The Maid because she does everything for me and adores the ground that my 4 little paws touches. (She’s also the only person who thinks that my farts are not smelly… C’mon, tell me where can you get someone like that??) She recently graduated from Uni. and is in the midst of looking for a job. Until she finds the job, she is spending a lot of time with me now... *happy grin*

Last but not least, there’s grandpapa and grandmama with whom I live with on weekdays (I have separation anxiety, remember?) when mom and dad are working for treat and toy money. Grandpapa retired many years back so he gets to spend the most time with me when everyone is out. I love to sleep on his tummy during our afternoon naps! Grandmama is the one who brushes my fur and coaxes me to eat my medicine when I had my itchy-scratchy problem a few weeks back.

So that's about all the dirt that I can share with you about my Family without risking being disowned by them.

Look what I have got from Chiyo and her HM!! Beautiful Chiyo sent me copies of Mom's favourit-est gossip mags. and a box of yummy treats! (I think it's the Japanese version of the 'Love letter' cookies that the hoomans eat during Chinese New Year). Mom spent a few solid hours poring over those magazines on Sun., can't believe how hard it can get to distract her when she is engrossed in the latest Hollywood gossips.. *sheesh*.. But at least during those few hours, dad and I spent some 'father and son' bonding time.
The Maid also bought the ingredients for Frosty Paws! I have seen how much my friends have enjoyed their Frosty Paws and cannot wait to try it myself. So finally, after a few weeks of waiting patiently, I can get a taste of the famed Frosty Paws!! What you do not see in the photo is that she also added some fresh durian into the mix so I have Durian-flavoured Frosty Paws!! (I lurrrve durians by the way... I know it is an acquired taste but I tell ya.. it's reeeaaaaally tasty!)

*burp*.. it's too delicious...

Happy Barkday to Maggie #2 - The Queen of SoCal..

From the *ahem* self-proclaimed King of SoCal

*** Special News Flash ***

Due to certain ‘special’ circumstances taht have gotten me into hot soup with Maggie #2, the 'contest' that I have advertised in my earlier post will be discontinued. In order to be fair to people who have already participated in the ‘Give 3 reasons why you’d like to be kissed by me’, I have decided to award the prizes only to *ahem*… boys only (no, your eyes are not playing a trick on you). However, I MUST STRESS that this does not mean that I like boys ok.. My preference is still for the fairer sex!!

The winners are:
1) Boo Casanova (for his TWO valiant attempts, I must say that he deserves to win!)
2) T-Man (for being the first one to be impressed by my fART degree --- my mom is totally unimpressed with my knowledge and expertise in that field… WHY??!!)
3) Simba (for thinking that I look ‘cute’ dressed like Shrek)
* Prizes will be mailed out shortly *

Tomorrow is Maggie Queen of SoCals’s 3rd Birthday so don’t forget to stop by her blog to wish her ‘Happy Birthday’!

THANK YOU, Baby and Boy!! We love the tag... Mom's never see anything like it before! I really like the 2 tiny paw prints (my mom is crazy over anything that has paw prints!). Baby and her mom had it done from the image from the below photo. Mom has kept it with her stash of the things she'd collected over the years in her 'Huskee Collection' because she is afraid that it'd get scratched if we use it.
This morning, Mom and dad were on their way to send me back to The Maid at my Grandparent's place before they went on their way to earn the money for my treats and squeaky toys. Look at how dark the sky is... *shudder*.. I don't like thunder and/ or lightning one bit!

Rain, Rain, Go Away,
Little Doggies Want to Play..

Despite the cloudy skies, today is a very special day 'cos it is the birthday of someone who is very special and dear to me and mom. It is the 4th Birthday of mom's godson/ my godbrother -- Scuba!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my 'Big Little Brother' (cos obviously he is bigger than me in size although I am *ahem* more matured). I hope you like the present that I got for you!

Yesterday was Dragonboat Festival and the hoomans brought home these little rice dumplings which is synonymous with the festival. Too bad they did not give me any as these are made of glutinous rice and mom said that glutinous rice is bad for me cos they cannot be easily digested. (Paw-sonally, I think it's her excuse for not sharing the rice dumpling with me...)
There is actually a Chinese folklore behind this festival though I am not very sure about the details since mom isn't the most knowledgeable person around... Honestly sometimes I think that I could be the smartest being in the household. If I were any smarter, I'd probably gather all my DWB friends and plan to take over the world, invent a cure for AIDS & cancer, annihilate ticks from the surface of the earth, find a way to visit ALL my friends from around the world, prepare my own dinner..... (the list goes on)..

I am telling you, I am not a happy trooper... (if you can't already tell from my expression above). How can they even compare me to Shrek and attempt to make ME look like HIM? I think there is a serioooooooooous lack of R.E.S.P.E.C.T for me and is an absolute insult to cute and handsome self.
This is how I really feel about those green ears...

Ok one nice shot to make the hoomans happy. Seriously they are so easily contented.

So what do you think, my friends? Who's the charming one? Me or Shrek???!

Merry Christmas everyone.. yes, I am sure it is Christmas already because I have been receiving so many presents lately.. first from Baby, then from Girl Girl and Eil and now from Opy and Charlie!!

Hey Mom, look what I have got from my friends from Down Under??!!

Opy and Charlie are so thoughful... they even sent over mom's favoritest magazines!! (Mom is into the latest Hollywood gossips..). They sent me a Dino Cuz, but evil mom is keeping it from me for the time being until the current one that I am playing with is spoilt... This is so unfair I tell you. Theoratically, everything in the package belongs to ME --- Huskee Boy, 'cos MY NAME is clearly stated on the package from MY friends. But well, how can a little 7kg dog stand up and fight for his rights against a 50 'something' kg woman? *sigh*.. It's a lost cause, I tell you...

On another note, I also want to share with you what Sir Chance-lot's super-duper talented mom did for me. It started from this photo:

and she made it into this beautiful picture that my mom and I totally love:

I am so happy today is Fri and the weekend is just ahead! Wishing every pup and Girl Gir a HAPPY WEEKEND!!

Now, where's my helmet and Harley Davidson, mom?

Vroomm Vroooommm...

Something arrived in the mail for ME and mom wouldn't let me open it without taking some photos!! Arghhhh... and it took her so many tries to get one 'right'.. and this is something I really cannot understand 'cos with me being such a handsome and photogenic boy, how difficult can that be?

Ok Mom? Are you done yet??!

Ahhh.. finally I got to open it with the help of mom cos she didn't want me to rip the envelope apart. (Which is a fortunate thing actually because if she hasn't stopped me, I might have ripped up the lovely card from Baby!!)

My Baby Munchkins got me a very cool cap from Snitchybug Dog Designs. I love it, love it, love it!! Snickers and Butchy's mom is so talented and Baby and her mom has such good taste!

So, what do you think? Am I handsome or what? THANK YOU Baby Munchkins!! *Muah*

My mom came across an article in a magazine she was reading on Saturday and she wanted to ‘borrow’ some ‘air time’ from me so that she can share it with you. We tried to upload the article but silly mommy couldn’t get it right after umpteenth tries.. blogger won’t load the file…

Anyway, according to this article (named ‘Puppy Love – Your Dog Could be the key to Finding the Perfect Man’), if you want to know what a woman wants in a man, you should take a look at her dog (if she has one, that is). This conclusion was reached by a recent survey conducted with 2000 women by Petcare Information and Advisory Service in Australia.

The survey found that women rated loyalty, affection and friendship as the most important traits in their partners, and these are the very same qualities they loved about their dogs. Can you think of what the other traits could be other than those 3 listed above? Here’s a few that I thought of, and I’d love to know what else you can come up with!!

1) To come when being called
2) Finishing up all the food that she’s prepared with gusto (even though it may taste funny)
3) Not complaining when she returns home with bags (and bags) of shopping
4) Not fighting with her for the TV remote control

The survey also found that women in the survey believed their partner’s looks match up with the ones they are looking for in their 4-legged friends!! (Hahahahaa… This one tickled me so much… ** Note to my dad: Do you have a cute black nose like me? Do you have round black eyes like mine?
Do you think we look alike?? Nah... I am waaaaay cuter than you!)

Anyway, mom thought the survey was pretty interesting because many times, she had actually noticed that pets DO resemble their owners to a certain extent.

Look at what The Maid got in Hong Kong!! She got a cap with ME on it!! It was drawn by a street artist and he customised it with my name too! I think he did a pretty good job and captured my expression quite well.. I am so pleased with it (although theoratically, it does not belong to me).

This was the photo that the person based his drawing on..

Right View: Tiny little paw prints
Left View: My name..

Treats for me!!

Felix the Cat Squeaky Toys

She also took this picture from a pet shop and was quite upset about the living conditions of these hamsters.. there are way too many hamsters in each of those little buckets..and there is no sawdust, food or water too!! Also, since they are not separated by gender, those hammies could mate like mad and have heaps of hammie babies!! Anyway, I hope they all go to good homes soon.

Oh my... I have been tagged again.. this time by Billy Boo and I have to share 7 things about me. Ok here it goes:-

1) When you say 'Huskee, cross the road!', I will grab and hump your arm (To achieve this, you will have to be sitting down on the ground or I have to be on a higher place. The bed or side tables are of the right height for this activity) --- Yup.. my funny dad instead of teaching me 'Bang' or 'Shake paws', he decided to teach me something different. Mom was not amused when she found out though..
2) I have a godma, a god-brother (Scuba the Mini-Bull Terrier) and a little hamster sister (Girl Girl )
3) I think I suffer from 'Separation Anxiety'
4) I will pee all over INSIDE the house when I am left alone at home.. I call this Sweet Revenge!
5) I am a very Fussy Eater.. I can turn my nose up at any kind of food.. it could range from ice-cream to yoghurt to fruits... (depending on my mood at that moment).
6) I lurrrrrrve Squeaky Toys!!
7) I lurrrrrrve playing 'Pounce' and 'Wrestling' with my dad

Last but not least, I am totally spoiled rotten (Mom made me put this down against all my protests so this does not count!!

I tag Scuba, Herbie and Jack and Joey!

Friday, May 25, 2007

I have been tagged by Maggie #2 to show myself in a weird or funny situation.. so here it is.. I reckon my hoomans are quite sick where their grey matter is because they like to put me in/ on appliances.. The first pic was taken when I was a wee pup (Hmmm.. that'd give you a clue on how perverse their sense of humour is.. I mean how can they even think of doing thiis to cute little me?? What if I fall off?

This second one was of me inside the fridge when they were cleaning it out... Well, most of the times, I like the fridge because it is where all the yummy food disappears into.. I didn't quite understand how come it was so empty when this photo was taken.

Actually there was another photo of my in a washing machine.. Unfortunately (or fortunately!!), mom couildn't find that photo anywhere.
Ok, now I tag Oscar, Bella and Billy!
Have a grrrrrrrrrrrreat weekend everyone..

Thursday, May 24, 2007

Here's a quick update on Booster.. after so many days, he is still in a very good condition. Not that I am not loving him enough, the unsual thing that the hoomans noticed is that I have been extraordinarily gentle with him (unlike how I treat my other toys!!). Look at the proof below! He still looks like brand new!!

Being the nice boy that I am, I have 'permitted' The Maid to go on a short holiday to Hong Kong.. so now I am enjoying all the attention from grandmama and grandpapa (not to forget the fact that I am getting all the 'forbidden food' that The Maid normally stops them from feeding me whenever she is around!). Today is the 2nd day she's away and I have to admit I kind of missed her already. I waited and waited (and waited..) by the door for her to come back last night and had to be coaxed to go back into the bedroom by 2 very sleepy hoomans.

Monday, May 21, 2007

I have got yet another new toy and look at how cool it is.. It actually wants me to bite it (yes, I am literate)!! Gee.. how many toys have you got that actually wants you to bite it??!

Anyway I was sick yesterday.. I had a queasy stomach and mom caught me eating the leaves from grandmama's plants. Usually when I start eating plants, it is not a good sign 'cos it meant that I was going to puke soon, and true enough, I puked.. on the sofa no less... I felt really guilty for messing up the sofa... Grandmama cleaned up the mess and she felt so sorry for me that she didn't even grumble about the mess... *whew*.. Mom thinks that it could be indigestion or something and they are putting me under 'observation' so in case they notice anything amiss, off to the vet I go!!

Thursday, May 17, 2007

I have been very moody for the past couple of days... The hoomans gave me a new toy in the hope that it'll cheer me up (this has always been a fail proof way). I guess I am quite predictable huh...

I have named this toy doggie Boo-ster, after my good friend Boo. Up till now, Boo-ster is still in tip-top condition and I have not decapitated him (yet)!! I have been giving him loads of attention and TLC...

I'd also like to take this opportunity to officially announce that I am the big brother of Girl Girl, the sister of my friend Fu Fu. Any doggies caught ogling at her 'girlie bits' will have to answer to me (yes, I am referring to you Boo Boo!!)

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

During my week long absence, I have been tagged by Baby and Boo to to show my tummy, so here I am in my most seductive pose...

Note: I will not tag any other doggies because I believe by now most of you have already been tagged!!

On a more somber note, I'd like to bid a final farewell to my good friend Fu Fu, who went to the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday. Our friendship had expanded beyond the cyber world and started a great friendship between both families... this is something that my mom, The Maid and I will always treasure.

*******************************************************

Message to Fu Fu (I am certain they have internet over at the Rainbow Bridge..):

I am already missing you sweet friend Fu Fu.. I hope that you have all the sunflower seeds that you can ever ask for. Thank you for being my friend.. it's been a real pleasure knowing you and I want you to know that you will be missed dearly and you'll always have a special place in all our hearts

Your Baby #1 and Baby #2 wants me to convey to you the message that you are the best boyfriend they could ever ask for and they will miss you very much.
Rest in peace my dear friend...
