* Fu Fu, here's a personalised birthday greeting from one of
my besotted sisters who is so in love with you*
Here's the offending pic. (even the new toy couldn't take me out of my misery)..
Mum was out the other day and saw a card with my friend, Joe Stains! (Hey Joey, I didn't know you model too!! Can I have your paw-tograph?)
(I did tell them to practice some self-restraint but when they knew that Fu Fu could be reading this post, there was no holding them back.. *helpless*)
Fu Fu is so lucky to have 2 gals fighting for his affection, but well, guess he can't help it cos he is just too cute! ** Fu Fu, do me a favour and let me know when you make your choice so that I can have some peace when they stop their bickering.
I can't believe the weekend is here again.. although there isn't much for me to look forward to cos I can't go and stay with my mum and dad like I did last week. Ma's going to spend the weekend in Hong Kong to attend a friend's wedding. Hope she get me some nice toys!!
(Oh and did I tell you guys that I have got hotspots on my front paws?? It's been there for a while and I am under the much dreaded 'E-collar treat aka Satellite dish' treatment'. All the creams don't seem to be helping much so I keep trying to lick them away but ended up getting a big scolding from The Maid.. sheeshh.. Life's tough).
With a heavy heart, I bid a final farewell to Milo 'The Mechanic'. To honour Milo's 11 years on this plane, I'd like to dedicate this post to him and share his life with my friends.
Milo was dad's other dog but he lived in Johor, Malaysia with the rest of dad's family. He is the son of dad's previous dogs, Shorty (yes.. so named because he was short) and May (a Maltese cross something that no one knows what exactly) - both deceased.. Shorty was put to sleep a few years back as he was very old and had many ailments that was causing him a lot of pain and discomfort. May was knocked down by a car many years ago.
Dad said that Milo was a very good guard dog that protected the premises... he was very good at chasing off stray cats and dogs that sometimes walk into 'his' premises and was known to have killed snakes and attacked big iguanas when he was in his prime. Basically Milo was courageous and quite fearless (except for thunder!!).
He was nicknamed 'The Mechanic' because he loved to spend his time watching the world go by from the comfort of his favourite spot - i.e. under the car and always ended up having dark stains on his fur.
No one knows the cause of his death and it took everyone by surprise.. Milo was found lifeless on Wednesday morning.. he passed away in his sleep.
I hope Milo is now running across acres of green fields with his parents, Shorty and May, his brother Horlicks, his girlfriend who passed away giving birth prematurely to a litter of 10 pups (the hoomans don't think the pups belonged to him as they did not look like him a single bit) and his friend Husky (a rottweiler), with which he had a love-hate relationship (mum claims that the pups looked more like rotties).
Rest in peace my friend...
Oh, and I saw this picture on ma's laptop the other day. It was taken around the Christmas period. She kept saying to me "See, it's so easy to take a nice picture with Scuba cos he looks AT the camera.. why do you always look AWAY??!!.. blah.. blah.. yak...yak.." - I blocked out the rest of her nagging..
Ma is an ardent fan of Care Bears (I can't believe how lame that is since she is no longer a child) and this is part of her 'collection' through the years. She acquired them through various sources, ebay, business trips to the US, specialty toy shops in Singapore, as gifts from friends overseas (the unique/ limited edition ones are very rare in Singapore and her friends from Australia sometimes sends them over to her)... I believe she has over 50 of them (I never really had the time to count since I'm always so busy, you know) in various sizes ranging from 3 inches to 20 inches, but her favourite is still the small 7 inch ones.. This is also mainly due to space constraints.. hiak hiak..
Anyway The Maid took all of them out for a bath last week and I just couldn't resist 'helping' out... So far I have yet to 'love' any of them to 'death' (I think I'd be in hot soup if I did!!).
This lovely jacket is from Fu Fu and his mum..
(Huskee's ma: I love this jacket and I only wish it came in hooman size!!)
My gift all the way from Canada!!
This is from my dear friend Jay and his mum. I love the red and blue cos it brightens up my otherwise 'monochrome' coloured coat!
This turtle is from my dear Auntie Sam
This ltttle squeaky doggy is from either Jack or Joey... I received a present from each of them but the other was little raw hide boot and I chewed it up before ma could take a picture of it.. Ooops...
This huge squeaky is from Godma
and last but not least, these are from ma and pa..
Other than these, I have also received a hand-painted bowl with my picture on it from Herbie, a yellow squeaky teddy bear from Rafv, a squeaky doughnut from Bingo... and many, many more! Ma said she'd not have to buy me any toys for a long time!!
Oh, and ma made some of these yesterday for my friends (Jay, Scuba & Co., Uncle Derick's 3 furkids - Max, Spanky and Duchess, etc).. I think it's supposed to be GingerBread Meat Patties (not sure if anyone's heard of it before..). , there's a choice of a 'flavours' - Pork and Garden Greens or Beef, Bacon and Rice. After ma packed them into their respective containers, she realised that she didn't make enough and guess who had to go without??! Hmmph!!! I am not happy... seriously how can this happen?? What will I eat?? I think I am going over to Godma/ Scuba's place... *#$%^&#@!
I received Sunshade's card and her pressie!!
(Huskee's Ma:- I think it'd be more appropriate if it said 'Small Dog with Big Attitude Problem'')
From Jack and Joey!!
This is from Rafv and his pa and ma.. Thank you Uncle Cas and Auntie R!!
Dog-tired after all the activities...
The next 'nghtmare' will be going to the post office to weigh and get the correct postage stamps for the packages... With Christmas just 2 weeks away, many people are rushing to send off their presents.. Oh my...
Ma even had the nerve to bring back a T-shirt which had Pluto on it!! What's the world coming to? I feel that my position within the household is being threatened...
I think I may need to start planning for my future soon... and I need to know more about this 'invader' in order to win back my ma and pa. The more I searched, the more worried I got.. apparently Pluto has got a lot of friends. However, it is a weird mixture with mice (Mickey and Minnie), ducks (Donald and Daisy), squirrels (Chip and Dale), a deer called Bambi and yes, and even an elephant called Dumbo (from the name, I don't think this one will be of any threat!!)
Fortunately I think I should be able to cope with the enemy since I also have loads of friends that I made on DWB and I am sure I can count on them!!
