Mum insisted on posting this real un-glam pic of me with the E-collar.. I don't understand why she wants to embarrass me like this.. (Huskee's mum: Hopefully this will make you stop licking at your hot spots so that they get a chance to heal?!!)
Well, in my own defense, I was only trying to be helpful here mum... Who knows one day I'll be able to lick those dreadful hotspots AWAY?? Sigh... according to the vet, dogs with long and thick coats who live in warm and himid places are more susceptible to hot spots (Bingo!! I have met all those criterias!!)
Here's the offending pic. (even the new toy couldn't take me out of my misery)..
Mum was out the other day and saw a card with my friend, Joe Stains! (Hey Joey, I didn't know you model too!! Can I have your paw-tograph?)

hey huskee,
i have spots on my body for the past few days too. mom brought me to see the vet and the vet said i have... guess this: PIMPLES! yes, i'm in stress!
mom said it might be the change of diet. hopefully this teaches them a lesson not to change my diet so often.
but my spots are dried ones. probably bcoz i can't scratch my body with my legs so those on the body are not so serious. but i have few spots on the bottom of my neck and i can reach those with my nails so it is quite serious. the vet gave antibiotics and cream to apply.
i wonder what you get??
wet wet licks

Hiya Boo,
You got PIMPLES?! Wow.. never knew that we could get pimples!! Well I think it kind of shows that you are still young and undergoing 'puberty'.. heheheee.
My spots are a little raw now (cos I can't stop licking at them.. yes I can still reach the one on my front paw even with the e-collar!!)
Yah, I have got some antibiotic cream.. mum wants to try calamine lotion too.. can you believe that woman?? She thinks I am a hooman baby.. *faint*
errr... huskee boy boy, u think u can take few photos to show me how's your hotspots look like? i googled "dog pimples" last night and those photos i saw is really really serious and seriously make me itchy all over the body. but i don't think yours is as serious.

Hi Boo,
Hahah.. great mind thinks alike man. I googled 'hot spots' this morning!! (Other than getting some funky looking hot night-spots around the world, I managed to get what I wanted..). Umm..mine isn't THAT bad but it could get worse if I continue licking.. heheh.. (You sure you want a pic??)
Huskee... Maybe you can be a model for e-collar. But you certainly dont look happy in it. Maybe you should hint your mum for 24 hr air con facilities now. heee

sigh..... we do we all have moms who love to take pictures of us during our "not so great" moments??
Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade
Huskee, I used to get hot spots too, and I have a really thick coat too. I took mum ages to figure out, but as it turned out, I have wheat allergy. After eliminating all wheat in my food and treats, I stopped getting hot spots all together.
Mum always shaved the spots so they can dry up and heal faster.
Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade
Urgh, I had to wear one of those stoopid lampshdes recently, so you have my sympathy.

I hate those stupid collars they make you bump into things. Run into peoples legs with it, it makes them go owww.

I've never had hot spots. I feel sorry for you. They don't sound like any fun. Hope you heal fast!
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Hello Husky Boy
Hobson, Rose and me have been scratching non-stop, our hair is falling out in handfuls and we are biting 'hot spots' on our skin. Where we live in Queensland, Australia is extremely hot and humid, and we all have long coats like you, so we really suffer in this terrible weather, even though mum is careful with our diet. My vet said as long as we don't have fleas, there is not much that can be done. Mum has tried antibiotic cream on our granddad Bandit, but he just licked it off.
Thank you very much for your happy Birthday wishes for me, and Beau too. I liked my cake too. My mum bought this for me because she loves me.
Love from your friend, Hammer
talking about hot spots, i have some skin problem too. Now my paw is getting worse and Mama kinda worried. But the stoopid vet didnt give me any antibiotics cos mine is more on environmental allergy.
Sigh.
Boy
Sometimes the hoomans have to be cruel to be kind.
I guess this is one of those times.
Better you than me.
Hang in there buddy.

Oh no! It's a cone-spiracy! Cubby has one just like it! From what I have heard, they are terrible creatures that attach themselves to your neck and don't go away until you stop itching - which means you can't scratch!!!! Yarg! Hope you evade yours soon.
Love and Licks,
Texas (and his humans).
oh no that is not a flattering photo at all, but I do hope you get better!
my goodness, someone is using my glorious likeness without permission, I don't remember that photo.
I need to call my pawyer.
oh huskee, I think that collar is TOO big for you...or you are little bit small for that collar...
Hi Huskee, my mom soothes my hot spots with diluted pure Apple cider vinegar it is very soothing. she also rinses out my shampoo with dilute APC. I now no longer have hot spots on my paws.

Those e-collars are cruel! And why, WHY do they take pictures of us wearing them, that is just plain mean. As sad as you look, you are still one good lookin' dog!
Murph the Dog
Huskee,
The collar makes your cute face stand out even more. I think it's very flattering, indeed!
I hope your spots cool down soon...
