CRIME SCENE #1

Somepup is in trouble... While I, as the big brother, is allowed to get on the bed and sofa anytime I want, mom is not allowing Hershey to do it because she is too destructive and there's no telling what she'd do next cos she's simply too unpredictable. (Heeheehee.. being the 'Big Brother' does have it's priviledges!!)

Hershey knows this 'rule' and when the parents are around, she normally behaves and abide by it. But hey, look what happens when their backs are turned!!

And the worst thing of all, the silly girl left some 'evidence' behind. Mom was NOT amused... I can almost see the smoke coming out of her ears.. ** Warning ** The next 2 pics may not be something that you want to look at if you are eating!!

Yup... She POOPED on the brand new sofa!! In her own defense, Hershey claims that she is trying to get a 'Stain Award' from Mr Joe Stains himself... (she saw the one I got for peeing on the bed, so now she's trying for one herself). My mom didn't buy it! I guess you know who is sitting at the 'Naughty Corner' now?

Stay tuned for CRIME SCENE #2..

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Remember my earlier post about what a tease my mom is? She did the same thing to Hershey too and the look on Hershey's face says it all... is it disdain? Contempt? Helplessness? The youngster is so greedy that they humans are saying what a breeze it is to teach her new tricks cos she is so 'treat motivated'... unlike me!! (Well, all I can say is that we all know who the smarter one is... I taught my humans plenty of tricks.. like Fetch, rubbing my tummy as and when I want it, coming to look for me when I bark, etc...) **satisfied grin**

I'd also like to share with you what Hershey had destroyed so far. Most of them used to belong to but since mom is all about 'sharing', I did what I have to and shared my toys with her. But well, not that I am complaining cos when she destroys one of my toy, I get a brand new replacement!! (I'd much rather have new toys to play with... she can have all my old ones.. except my Elmo of course).

The 'Victims'... R.I.P

I have been showered with even more awards! I feel truly blessed that my friends have been kind enough to give me all these awards..

I got the 'You Lift my Spirit' Award from Mango the cute little Maltese

and this 'Dog Lover Blog' Award from Happy.

THANK YOU very much guys!

A GIGANTIC, COLOSSAL, MASSIVE, GINORMOUS thANk yOu to my friends who have given me the following awards.. Can't believe I am the lucky receipient of THREE awards at once!! Thank you so much to Maggie & Mitch, the 3 Musketeers and Hugo!!

Hugo
My first award is from Hugo, the cute lil' poodle. Hugo only started blogging early this month so it'd be nice if you can stop by his bloggie to give him a warm welcome.

Hugo's a great pup cos he's been staying by his human Z's side and giving her lots of licks and kisses because Z's been a little down lately. Hey, that's why doggies are men's (and women's) best friends!!

1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.

2. Link the person you received your award from.

3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.

4. Put links of those blogs on yours.

5. Leave a message on the blogs of those you have nominated.

For this award, I'd like to forward it on to: Happy, Hammer, Joey & Tanner, Lady Kaos, Lorenza, Helios and Stanley & Stella!

3 Musketeers - Lady, Xena & Cody

Lady, Xena and Cody are new friends that we have made recently. They are fairly new to blogging too so do stop by their blog... oh and their human sister is going to have her e-x-a-m-s very soon so you can give her some words of encouragement too! (I had to spell out that word that is in blue because my mom still gets nightmares from her school days.. heehee). Cody and Hershey are very close in age (Cody's birthday is 16 Apr 2008 and Hershey's birthday is 24 Apr 2008) so maybe someday the pups can meet up!!

The rules for this award is the same as the above, so for this one, i'd like to pass it on to Mango, Petey, Elmo, Eduardo, Boo Boo, Pedro and last but not least, to Gus, Louie & Callie.

Maggie & Mitch

Maggie and Mitch have very kindly given me 'Rusty's Best Bud Award'. It's really such a honour to receive this award from Maggie and Mitch. I have been following their blog for a long time so this award means a lot to me.

I'd like to pass this award on to CC-man & Angel T-man as well as our very first blogging friend, Angel Fu Fu and his sister Girl Girl.

My mom's such a tease... she bought me a new toy and she made me wait before I could sink my teefies in it.

She's making me do a 'Sit' & 'Stay'... Can you believe it?

Now she wants me to 'smile' for her stup*d camera...

Hey dad, can you please do something about your wife and make her give me the *%#!$@ toy??

I also want to share with you a 'lesson' that I/ mom learnt. Mom saw this black poodle stuffie and bought it with the intention of sending it to T-man. That was sometime in Feb/ Mar this year. However, she never got about doing it because she always thought that she'd 'do it later'... and procrastinated and procrastinated until she forgot about it. Then when we moved house in late June, the little poodle 'reappeared' while we were unpacking and mom put it aside thinking that she'd send it to T-man once we have settled down in the new house. Unfortunately, T-man left us very unexpectedly to go to the Rainbow Bridge on 28Aug.

We finally got our act together and sent it to Angel T-man's mom and CC-man a week or so ago and we deeply regret that T-man never got to see his little look-alike. The lesson learnt?? Life is too just too fragile, please take some time to let the people that you care about know how much you love them and how much they mean to you. I think sometimes it's just human nature to take the people around us for granted. And of course, please don't forget about your fur kids too...

I am going over to give T-man's mom a hug...

You all can still remember my birthday 'present' right?

Well this is what happened after last week's episode when I was caught trying to ship Hershey away. The tables have been turned and I was the one who was 'IN' the cage!! Guess who was outside pulling funny faces and rubbing salt on my wound...

Yesterday was Mid Autumn Festival and my godbrother Scuba, organised a pawty on Saturday night (of course the humans were also invited). Hershey went and I didn't because 1) Mom said there's no way they can manage to bring both of us out at the same time 2) I really need a break away from Hershey. Hence, I spent a peaceful Saturday night on Grandmama's lap being the center of her attention. *bliss*

According to mom, Hershey had a blast playing with the other dogs... when she came home, her fur was all wet from Tommy's saliva they had to bathe her at 11.30pm!!

Hershey & the host, Scuba

The other host, Pepper. I didn't think he liked Hershey much cos he hissed at her when she tried to pose next to him... Heehee... Good job, Pepper!! Finally I found something that Hershey is afraid of!

Hershey & Helios

Hershey and Tommy... The seemingly placid first meeting that soon turned into...

.... a game of Bitey-Face!!

(sorry about the blurred pictures.. Fast Doggy Action or Slow Human Reaction??)

A worn out Tommy...

... and Helios

And guess what the host was busy with in the midst of all these activities? According to 'eye-witnesses', he slept in this position for at least 30 min!

Ever since the first day we brought Hershey home, she's been waking us up at 6am, or 7am at the VERY latest weekdays and weekends alike!!. So definitely there's no sleeping in at all on weekends or holidays. But thanks to Tommy and Helios for all the work they have put into playing with Hershey and tiring her out on Saturday night, she only woke us up at 10am on Sunday morning!! What a wonderful weekend...

My plan failed miserably... I was totally busted... I lured Hershey into the jumbo box by throwing her favourite toy (see pic on the left) into the box and the silly one thought I was playing 'retrieve' with her. Once I got her into the box, I taped it up securely and was all set to ship her far, far away from me... I was even considerate enough to stick some 'fragile' stickers on the box.

But before the courier guy can come and collect her, mom realised that the house was too peaceful and too quiet, so she got suspicious and started to look for Hershey. That's when she found a box outside our door that seemed to have a life of it's own and was making a lot of whimpering noise.

Mom was not amused at all when she saw Hershey inside.. The silly girl was oblivous to what just happened. I tried to explain to mom that we are playing a game of 'hide & seek' and I was the 'seeker' so the silly one jumped into the box to 'hide'... Mom didn't buy that. Not one bit... I am in B.I.G trouble now. I will tell you the story in my next post cos now I have to go and receive my punishment.

The 'Whimpering Box'

Why would't mom believe my story? Look at my 'innocent' face...

Note to Joey: I saw your comment about wanting to send Tanner off to his wife. DO NOT try this cos I have proven that it doesn't work. (Unless maybe you can fine tune the plan and *ahem*drug*ahem* your mom for a few hours before the courier guy picks up the box!!)

Monday, September 8, 2008

So it's finally official. The day has come and I guess you'd have noticed it... I HAVE TO SHARE MY BLOG WITH HERSHEY NOW!! **Oops, sorry that I shouted... got a bit emotional.**

Thanks to my lil' sister, now I have to share all the following:

1) The love/ attention/ tummy rubs from Papa and Mama

2) Some of my toys (actually they are the ones that I don't play with at all cos I don't like them.. but STILL, they are MINE right?)

3) Some of my treats (ok, again it is those that I don't really fancy, but again, they belong to ME!!)

4) My blog!! (Baby's mom, aka my mom-in-law, suggested to mom that she should start a separate blog for Hershey but lazy mom didn't think she can manage 2 blogs cos as it is, she is already struggling to maintain my blog. Therefore, she thought it's best for us to share.. ** sticks out tongue**).

I have a few friends (Deetz, Happy and Deefor) who have indicated 'interest' in having Hershey... I have got the jumbo box ready and I visited the DHL website when mom wasn't looking and found this - 'When you want to quickly ship goods anywhere in the world, use DHL Jumbo Box for shipments up to 55 lbs (25kg). Jumbo Box is sturdy enough to hold computers' . If the box can hold computers, I am sure it can hold a 8 kg puppy... ** insert evil laugh here**

PLUS
EQUAL

Now that I have got a plan (sort of) to get rid of my sister, I can go ahead and enjoy my romantic dinner date with Baby and worry about the 'execution of the plan' after a glass of pawtini.. or two.

Peek-a-Boo..... by Hershey

Hershey: Let's play a game of Peek-a-Boo...

Now you see me...

Now you don't...

Now you see me...

Now you don't!!

Thanks for playing with me!!

Note from Huskee: Now you all know what I have to put up with... 4 month old Border Collie pup up for adoption... Any takers??

Oh yes, my blog is currently being 'RENOVATED' because my mama has a 'itchy bum bum' and decided that she wanted to spruce up my blog. One thing led to another and now, it is out of control. She regretted even thinking of it and now wishes that there is an 'undo' button. Wish us luck.

I am still trying to come to terms with T-man's passing. I find it hard to believe that he's gone to the Rainbow Bridge so suddenly. And I feel for his mom... she must be going through a very hard time now. I wish there's something I can do to cheer her up a little, even if it's just for a while. *sigh*

Mom was very understanding and gave me lots of ear rubs and belly rubs to cheer me up. While I did appreciate her effort, it did not really help.

Huskee's mom:
Sorry, I have 'hijacked' Huskee's blog again... I have consiously made an effort to try to stop talking/ writing about Lucas because I guess people will get tired of listening to me. However, I really couldn't help it here because for me, T-man's passing really brought back the memories of how painful it is to lose someone you love.

In my daily life, I have stopped wallowing in self-pity (as some people will put it) and stopped talking about Lucas altogether... like some people will say, I am 'getting my act together'. I am crying a lot lesser... and I have even achieved the feat of holding Mark's one year old nephew without breaking down. However, it doesn't mean that I am 'back to normal'... it just proves that I am getting better at hiding my emotions.. and that I can control myself a lot better now. One thing I can confirm is that I am definitely not a 'mental case' like what I initally thought!

I came across this poem when we lost Lucas, I felt that it was so meaningful and exactly described how I was feeling. Reading it again still makes me teary and I have shared it with T-man's mom. She must be going through such a rough time now and I wish there's something I can do...

They say memories are golden,
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway
And heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Can't wait for the 'link' to be complete...
