Papa received a forwarded email from a friend yesterday and shared it with mama and I. It touched us deeply so I wanted to share it with everyone. The subject of the email is 'Do you have the same loyalty to your friends?'

The incident happened along a busy road in some part of China... A dog was seen in the middle of busy street caring for its friend, which had been hit by a car. Using its paw, the dog tried to wake its already-dead friend, and it stayed beside his friend even though it was in danger of being hit by the oncoming traffic.

* Sidenote: Why were all those people so busy with taking pictures when they should have been helping the dogs to safety??!!

It's very sad to see this but the same thing we saw a few months back here in my neighborhood. One night, we saw a pack of dogs of about ten of them walked pass our home. We barked our heads off coz we were wondering what were there doing here. Then the next day during our walkie, we found one of the dogs from the pack lying motionless on the middle of the road. It's two friends stayed close to it for a few hours & didn't leave him. They didn't really sit close to him becoz the cars were driving pass so they just sat on the curb waiting for it to wake up but unfortunately it was already dead. It's very sad indeed but the next day, the body was gone.

Yeah, what's wrong with those people? They should have been trying to help the dogs. Unless the one doggie was trying to keep people away from his buddy. That's so sad though..

My mom is crying seeing those pictures and reading the story. Of course we are better than many humans!

That is so sad for the poor dog trying to help. You are right though the humans should have been doing something to help out - at least he wasn't in danger of getting hit with them all stopped around like that.

Hi Huskee Boy,

this is so sad, it makes me wanna cry. I hope that dog ended up in safety. I can't imagine if another reckless driver came along at that time.

Aw, man, that is so sad! You would think that one of those humans would have gone to help the loyal friend instead of snapping the pictures. And, why were the dogs out wifout their hum-owners, hmm, just running around?!?! Mommy would like to knock those peoples heads around, too.

Pee Ess - Mommy said that horsies are like that, too. They'll stay by a friend who has died & pay tribute to them. There are a lot of horsie articles about that topic.

That is just so sad. It breaks our hearts. We wonder how many stray dogs there are in China? Probably more than we know.

Hi Huskee
What a happier world we'd have to live in if hoomans could show the love and loyalty dogs show to their family and their friends.

Huskee Boy!

Sometimes I wonder how the hoomans stay in charge. I love that little doggie for staying with his buddy. How sad.

Huskee, you're sweet to post this stuff for us. Any idea if the loyal doggie ever found his family?

Goober love,
