My nutty little sister has been behaving strange lately. She's suddenly become very 'needy'... Initially, mom thought that it was so sweet, but she's kinda getting sick of Hershey's 'neediness' now because it affecting her work!! Our mom had been working from home for the past 2 months, and she usually sits on the bed with her laptop on her lap (DUH!! It is not called a 'LAP'top for nothing..).
Recently, Hershey has the habit of sneaking up to mom and resting her head on the laptop, thereby making it impossible for mom to type! As a result, the sneaky one ends up getting extra ear scratches and tummy rubs...
Other than that, Hershey had also been interrupting mom's sleep by lying on top of her every morning. Mom is not a morning person, and moverover, she hadn't really been sleeping well for the past 2 weeks because she kept waking up in the wee hours and can't go back to sleep, so she's not the least amused by Hershey's latest antics!
This picture was taken yesterday morning... this is the (scary) sight that greets mom every morning when she opens her eyes... **shudder**

Aww...I thought she looked cute too! Especially the last photo...*grins* I didn't get to go to Mom's room these days, but whenever I get the chance, I would jump up and lie on her when she's on the couch reading...hehehe!

She sometimes brings home reports to do at home - that is good cos she is here however Bailey knows how to stop her typing by constantly nudging her head under her hand!

Hershey is just being sweet. TD drives our Mom nuts because he keeps nudging her hand while she is trying to move her mouse around the screen and it makes her move it the wrong way. We don't get to sleep on the beds but we think that face would be a great greeting in the morning.

Hershey is part cat. That is what cats do...No really I just think Hershey is JUST very in tuned to Mom's feelings. Animals are very perceptive. She is trying her best to be a comfort and feels if she is close it will help. I cannot imagine have a dog on me every morning a 11 lb cat is too heavy...

Wooos! I think I understand, as mom is laughing, Scampi and the cat Bentley, do the same thing, the cat especially is good at the lap top thing, he likes to press keys and lay on it when Mom is trying to work....

Thanks for your kind comments on our floor.It takes both me and Mom to keep it shiny. I sit on the counter cheering while she mops. :-) We use Orange Glo 2-in-1 kit with a mop. Now the cleaner and shiner are all in one. Years ago 'we' had to first clean it,wait for it to dry then shine it. Wore us out. HA!! The Orange Glo puts a protective coat on the floor too. There are scratches on the floor...especially around the pantry Mom drops a lot of cans.

She's cute, but I can see why you're jealous! My Katie is what I call an "anti-reading dog" because she is always pushing her head in between me and anything I'm trying to read. She's given up on trying to mess with the laptop though...so be patient!

You know, it's pretty odd, Mika will go through needy times too. There are times when he will follow me around like a 2nd shadow and when I sit down, he'll lean on me. But it's like he has cycles of needy times and non-needy times. I'm pretty sure Mika was feeling ok at the needy times, our routine didn't change. It's quite odd. Maybe this is just a phase for her? (Hopefully it'll be short phases like Mika's. Usually his lasts at most a week and then he's back to his independent self for a month or so.)

hehe.. I think the pictures of Hershey is so cute and funny. The first picture it looks like she is saying "Hi Mom!!!" really excitedly. The second picture looks like she's saddened from not getting a crazy hyper response back, and the third picture looks like she is stalking your mom (kind of creepy...)..
