Something arrived in the mail for ME and mom wouldn't let me open it without taking some photos!! Arghhhh... and it took her so many tries to get one 'right'.. and this is something I really cannot understand 'cos with me being such a handsome and photogenic boy, how difficult can that be?

Ok Mom? Are you done yet??!

Ahhh.. finally I got to open it with the help of mom cos she didn't want me to rip the envelope apart. (Which is a fortunate thing actually because if she hasn't stopped me, I might have ripped up the lovely card from Baby!!)

My Baby Munchkins got me a very cool cap from Snitchybug Dog Designs. I love it, love it, love it!! Snickers and Butchy's mom is so talented and Baby and her mom has such good taste!

So, what do you think? Am I handsome or what? THANK YOU Baby Munchkins!! *Muah*

My mom came across an article in a magazine she was reading on Saturday and she wanted to ‘borrow’ some ‘air time’ from me so that she can share it with you. We tried to upload the article but silly mommy couldn’t get it right after umpteenth tries.. blogger won’t load the file…

Anyway, according to this article (named ‘Puppy Love – Your Dog Could be the key to Finding the Perfect Man’), if you want to know what a woman wants in a man, you should take a look at her dog (if she has one, that is). This conclusion was reached by a recent survey conducted with 2000 women by Petcare Information and Advisory Service in Australia.

The survey found that women rated loyalty, affection and friendship as the most important traits in their partners, and these are the very same qualities they loved about their dogs. Can you think of what the other traits could be other than those 3 listed above? Here’s a few that I thought of, and I’d love to know what else you can come up with!!

1) To come when being called
2) Finishing up all the food that she’s prepared with gusto (even though it may taste funny)
3) Not complaining when she returns home with bags (and bags) of shopping
4) Not fighting with her for the TV remote control

The survey also found that women in the survey believed their partner’s looks match up with the ones they are looking for in their 4-legged friends!! (Hahahahaa… This one tickled me so much… ** Note to my dad: Do you have a cute black nose like me? Do you have round black eyes like mine?
Do you think we look alike?? Nah... I am waaaaay cuter than you!)

Anyway, mom thought the survey was pretty interesting because many times, she had actually noticed that pets DO resemble their owners to a certain extent.

Look at what The Maid got in Hong Kong!! She got a cap with ME on it!! It was drawn by a street artist and he customised it with my name too! I think he did a pretty good job and captured my expression quite well.. I am so pleased with it (although theoratically, it does not belong to me).

This was the photo that the person based his drawing on..

Right View: Tiny little paw prints
Left View: My name..

Treats for me!!

Felix the Cat Squeaky Toys

She also took this picture from a pet shop and was quite upset about the living conditions of these hamsters.. there are way too many hamsters in each of those little buckets..and there is no sawdust, food or water too!! Also, since they are not separated by gender, those hammies could mate like mad and have heaps of hammie babies!! Anyway, I hope they all go to good homes soon.

Oh my... I have been tagged again.. this time by Billy Boo and I have to share 7 things about me. Ok here it goes:-

1) When you say 'Huskee, cross the road!', I will grab and hump your arm (To achieve this, you will have to be sitting down on the ground or I have to be on a higher place. The bed or side tables are of the right height for this activity) --- Yup.. my funny dad instead of teaching me 'Bang' or 'Shake paws', he decided to teach me something different. Mom was not amused when she found out though..
2) I have a godma, a god-brother (Scuba the Mini-Bull Terrier) and a little hamster sister (Girl Girl )
3) I think I suffer from 'Separation Anxiety'
4) I will pee all over INSIDE the house when I am left alone at home.. I call this Sweet Revenge!
5) I am a very Fussy Eater.. I can turn my nose up at any kind of food.. it could range from ice-cream to yoghurt to fruits... (depending on my mood at that moment).
6) I lurrrrrrve Squeaky Toys!!
7) I lurrrrrrve playing 'Pounce' and 'Wrestling' with my dad

Last but not least, I am totally spoiled rotten (Mom made me put this down against all my protests so this does not count!!

I tag Scuba, Herbie and Jack and Joey!

I have been tagged by Maggie #2 to show myself in a weird or funny situation.. so here it is.. I reckon my hoomans are quite sick where their grey matter is because they like to put me in/ on appliances.. The first pic was taken when I was a wee pup (Hmmm.. that'd give you a clue on how perverse their sense of humour is.. I mean how can they even think of doing thiis to cute little me?? What if I fall off?

This second one was of me inside the fridge when they were cleaning it out... Well, most of the times, I like the fridge because it is where all the yummy food disappears into.. I didn't quite understand how come it was so empty when this photo was taken.

Actually there was another photo of my in a washing machine.. Unfortunately (or fortunately!!), mom couildn't find that photo anywhere.
Ok, now I tag Oscar, Bella and Billy!
Have a grrrrrrrrrrrreat weekend everyone..

Here's a quick update on Booster.. after so many days, he is still in a very good condition. Not that I am not loving him enough, the unsual thing that the hoomans noticed is that I have been extraordinarily gentle with him (unlike how I treat my other toys!!). Look at the proof below! He still looks like brand new!!

Being the nice boy that I am, I have 'permitted' The Maid to go on a short holiday to Hong Kong.. so now I am enjoying all the attention from grandmama and grandpapa (not to forget the fact that I am getting all the 'forbidden food' that The Maid normally stops them from feeding me whenever she is around!). Today is the 2nd day she's away and I have to admit I kind of missed her already. I waited and waited (and waited..) by the door for her to come back last night and had to be coaxed to go back into the bedroom by 2 very sleepy hoomans.

I have got yet another new toy and look at how cool it is.. It actually wants me to bite it (yes, I am literate)!! Gee.. how many toys have you got that actually wants you to bite it??!

Anyway I was sick yesterday.. I had a queasy stomach and mom caught me eating the leaves from grandmama's plants. Usually when I start eating plants, it is not a good sign 'cos it meant that I was going to puke soon, and true enough, I puked.. on the sofa no less... I felt really guilty for messing up the sofa... Grandmama cleaned up the mess and she felt so sorry for me that she didn't even grumble about the mess... *whew*.. Mom thinks that it could be indigestion or something and they are putting me under 'observation' so in case they notice anything amiss, off to the vet I go!!

I have been very moody for the past couple of days... The hoomans gave me a new toy in the hope that it'll cheer me up (this has always been a fail proof way). I guess I am quite predictable huh...

I have named this toy doggie Boo-ster, after my good friend Boo. Up till now, Boo-ster is still in tip-top condition and I have not decapitated him (yet)!! I have been giving him loads of attention and TLC...

I'd also like to take this opportunity to officially announce that I am the big brother of Girl Girl, the sister of my friend Fu Fu. Any doggies caught ogling at her 'girlie bits' will have to answer to me (yes, I am referring to you Boo Boo!!)

During my week long absence, I have been tagged by Baby and Boo to to show my tummy, so here I am in my most seductive pose...

Note: I will not tag any other doggies because I believe by now most of you have already been tagged!!

On a more somber note, I'd like to bid a final farewell to my good friend Fu Fu, who went to the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday. Our friendship had expanded beyond the cyber world and started a great friendship between both families... this is something that my mom, The Maid and I will always treasure.

*******************************************************

Message to Fu Fu (I am certain they have internet over at the Rainbow Bridge..):

I am already missing you sweet friend Fu Fu.. I hope that you have all the sunflower seeds that you can ever ask for. Thank you for being my friend.. it's been a real pleasure knowing you and I want you to know that you will be missed dearly and you'll always have a special place in all our hearts

Your Baby #1 and Baby #2 wants me to convey to you the message that you are the best boyfriend they could ever ask for and they will miss you very much.
Rest in peace my dear friend...

Mom and dad are going to be travelling again... This Wednesday they will be going to attend their friend's wedding in Kelantan, Malaysia. Mom's pretty excited and apprehensive at the same time about the trip because it is her first time going to Kelantan and also because she's heard quite a lot about how it is one of the most 'conservative' states in Malaysia. (So I guess all her shorts and singlets are staying at home this time this time..) After that, they will be staying over in Kuala Lumpur (the home of Boo Casanova) for a few nights before heading home. Hopefully mom will be able to control her shopping urges for long enough to take some photos back to show me (I am not putting much hope abt it though)

Naturally I get left behind (again) and miss out on all the action... They'd better come back with something for me..

Any takers??

Guess which lucky boy received presents from 2 gorgeous gals? ME, ME, Me, me..!! I even got the photo to prove it.. I got a present each from Baby and Chiyo...

And just when I thought my life couldn't get any better, there was yet another present for me... Mr Mailman came to visit yesterday and he brought with him a package from my Boo Casanova!! Yes, a special package for me from Mr Casanova himself!! !! How exciting.. I couldn't stop sniffing the package ('cos it had Boo's scent combined with something that smells delicious.. Finally the hoomans opened it for me. My dear Boo sent me loads of yummy cookies!! Six packets in all as well as a squeaky ball which I adore..

Thanks to all my friends.. I love you all *muah muah*

Correction:

*embarassed smile* .. Gosh!! The Maid made a mistake and mis-informed me.. I will give her stern lecture later and possibly deduct her wages this month for the boo boo (no pun intended) that she made.. Tsk tsk...The pink package is actually from Boo Boo.. THANK YOU Boo Boo!! (It's so nice of you to give me a pressie even though we are both vying for Baby's heart..) *muah*

Mom went to Shanghai for work last week and she took some photos of the beautiful night scene of the city which I thought I'd share with my all friends.

Mom told me that you can actually reserve the place in the last photo for a nice romantic dinner with your loved one.. It is very private and the view is fantastic as it overlooks the famous Shanghai Bund. If Shanghai wasn't so far away, it'd be so paw-fect for my Baby and I to have a date there...

Anyway, I was so glad I was able to chat at the DWB Pawty with so many of my friends and even managed to flirt a little with Maggie #2... *blush*.. It was really fun and I enjoyed myself so much that mom even had to threaten to take away my lunch if I did not move my paws away from the keyboard... (That woman can be real evil sometimes.. I mean, how often do I get to chat with my friends from all around the world??! *grumbles*)

Mom was reading a magazine on the bed and I kept sitting on the magazine to get her attention.. sheesh.. what can be more interesting that cute lil' me? Who can resist those mesmerizing eyes?? That adorable black nose.. that inviting pink tongue...
Ok fine... my mom was able to resist all the above and apparently found whatever that was in the magazine more interesting. It obviously was 'gossip' magazine but mom prefers to call it 'entertainment news'.. *snigger*... My mom loves reading the Australian Woman's Day and New Idea. This was something she picked up during her stay Down Under and she continued buying the magazines even when she is back in Singapore. So, do any of your hoomans like to read 'Entertainment News' too??
I think the only way I can get her full attention is to poop on the magazine.. now that would be entertainment news...!! *evil laugh*...

I am proud to announce that Rubber Duckie No. VIII has lost its beak and tail.. (just like Rubber Duckie No. I to Rubber Duckie No. VII).. As you all know, I do lurrrrveee my toys so much!
Getting comfy and catching a nap after my 'workout'...
Papa was sick this weekend and spent a lot of time resting. Being the filial son that I am, I kept him company and gave him loads of kisses. He was feeling better by Sunday night and I think it was due to all the kisses that I gave him.
Mom's going to Shanghai tomorrow and won't be back till the weekend so I might not get a chance to use the computer... Hopefully Scuba and I will be able to join in the DWB Wine, Cheese and Chat Pawty this weekend if his mom (aka MY godma) and my mum (aka HIS godma) can make it back in time from their Shanghai trip. Imagine all the cheese I can eat... yuummmm... and all the pretty girls I can meet...

We went for a picnic at Pierce Reservoir on Sunday and although the ground was a little wet from the rain the day before, I had a fanstatic time trying to make myself as dirty as possible! Altogether there were 10 dogs and 13 hoomans.. (and 66 wet and muddy feet) and a lot of food!!
The weather on Sunday morning was great.. a gentle breeze, warm sunshine and slightly muddy grass!! Best of all I got to meet my godma, my godbrother Scuba and all my friends -- Tommy, Herbie, Helios, Joey, Jack (my 'admirer'), Rafv, Chewie and Lolo. Go check out Joey's blog for my encounter with Jack.. according to Jack's HC, he's got a soft spot for small, furry dogs and I think meet his urmmm.. 'requirements' although my 'boy bits' are still very much intact the last time I sniffed. But Jack was a true gentleman and was real polite throughout.
Overall it was a awesome morning.. of course mum wouldn't miss out on any photo opportunity (although Herbie's M was the Official Paw-tographer of the day, my mum couldn't resist taking some shots for my blog)..
This is the camera-woman's assistant (aka my papa) setting me up for the shot.

"What Dad?? Ohhh, ok.. You want me to look straight? Ok, ok whatever..."

"Ok, now you have got the shot you want.. can I go and play??"

I reallly like the little yellow flowers that are sprouting up all around.. I tried my best not to step on any of them so that the pretty little things don't get crushed... I was real pleased abt my muddy paws but they didn't stay muddy for long cos the hoomans bathed me once we reached home.. sigh... It sure was good while it lasted!! Hope we can do it again soon...

Monday, April 16, 2007

Last Friday I was left at home all alone despite my 'separation anxiety' condition.. (sheesh.. no one seem to be taking what I say seriously at all!!)... Grandpapa and Grandmama went to attend The Maid's graduation ceremony.. (yes, can you believe it, my very own paw-sonal maid now has a degree in management.. am I honoured or what..??!). I was told that although they'd love to take me with them to celebrate this special milestone in her life, they cannot bring me along cos no pets are allowed.. but hey, I am not 'pet', I am 'family'! Unfortunately, not every human thinks this way so poor lil' me had to stay at home.

The family then went to a nice restaurant for dinner to celebrate the occasion and they didn't get home till 10pm! Since I was not present at the ceremony in the day and there was no way they would leave me out of this important day, I had to pose for some photos with them... naturally I had some solo shots too..

Hmmm.. wonder what I graduated in.. How to Kill a Squeaky Toy in 30 seconds??

(pssst.. did you guys notice something?? The 'stand' for the flowers is actually my E-collar..Hehehe.. Apparently we have found another use for it!!)

After all the photo-taking, I was dog-tired (no pun intended).. Here's a photo of me in slumberland.. I was counting down to the picnic on Sunday morning at Pierce Reservoir with my friends, my godma and my godbrother Scuba.. It's been a while since I met Scuba and godma so I was really looking forward to it. I will post the photos from the picnic shortly.

Sorry I haven't updated my blog much this week. I have been really preoccupied and have many things that I need to think about. So, much of this week was spent lying around crossing and uncrossing my paws and contemplating life at the same time... There are so many things on my mind.. I am one busy fella.

You'll understand what I mean if you scroll down...

I hope every doggy and their hoomans had a nice Easter weekend.. I spent 3 nights staying with my mom and dad cos they don't have to go to work!! For those of you who do not know, I stay with my grandpapa, grandmama and 'The Maid' aka Mom's sister during weekdays when mom and dad go to go to work 'cos I do not like to be left alone at home. Normally I only get to spend the weekends with mom and dad.. but I don't mind that much 'cos grandpapa and grandmama spoils me rotten and they let me get away with anything, even murder (I mean 'murdering' my toys of course)!! The hoomans claim that I am 'spoiled' but I prefer to call it 'separation anxiety'... (doesn't it sound nicer with the medical term??!)

Mom, dad and The Maid also took the opportunity to do some shopping and they came back with bags and bags of stuff.

(I went for a haircut, so my fur looks short in this pic. I think it emphasizes my big, black nose..*sigh*)

These sandals seem to be made of the same material as my Cuz!! Maybe when the hoomans are not looking I can give these sandals some 'attention' --- the only problem is that they don't squeak..

Thursday, April 5, 2007

Spot the similarity in the 2 photos.. (sorry, no prize for the correct answer)

(apologies for the quality of this photo..)

Ok, for those of you who guessed that it is my Big, Black Nose, you are correct (*Side note to Boo, I am sure you have guessed correctly right?)

Well my mom thinks that my nose is getting bigger and blacker (if that's even possible)... she's even got photos to prove her point.. So is this like the Pinnochio story or what? I have not told any lies (mum: that's lie #1) so why would what happened to Pinnochio happen to me?? .. It wasn't me who barked at the mailman (mum: lie #2), I did not chew the limbs off the rubber dinosaur or the beak off rubber ducky (mum: that's #3 and #4 and still counting...), I am not the one who pulled out all the stuffings of my toys.. (mum: #5..), I didn't pee all over the house when I am left at home alone (mum: #6... *yawn*), the worms chewed the leaves off grandma's plants (mum: #7....).. Hello, is anyone still reading??

Monday, April 2, 2007

I cannot believe that the weekend is over so quickly and the hoomans have gone back to work. I got to stay with mum and dad for the entire weekend and they only brought me back to grandpapa's place just before they went to work this morning... so I got to spend 2 full days of quality time with them!!

* Boo, here's the doggy bedsheet that I was telling you about... It is mum's favourite cos it has cute little paw prints and cartoon doggies all over it and it is also the same color as me!! (yes, I know it looks quite childish..)

Anyway, I was playing pounce with my dad on the bed when mum took this pic. and my tail is blurry because I was wagging it so hard!!

I can't wait for the weekend to come!! (Oh right, and Fri is a public holiday in here as it is Good Friday so the hoomans have a long weekend..Yipeee...)
